ROOPA is an associate with Katzenbach Partners, a New York management consulting firm. She graduated from Women's Christian College in Madras and has a Master's degree in history from Madras University, an M.Phil. from Balliol College, University of Oxford, and an M.B.A. from Oxford. She is a Rhodes Scholar, an Oxford Blue, and an internationally-ranked sports rifle shooter. Among other honors, she won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games last year, a silver medal at the World Shooting Grand Prix in Atlanta in 1998 and India's Arjuna Award, the equivalent of the country's sports hall of fame. She holds the Commonwealth record in women's small-bore prone rifle and several Indian records.

SREE is an associate professor at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism and a freelance journalist. He is co-founder of the South Asian Journalists Association in New York. He graduated from St. Stephen's College, Delhi, and received an M.S. in journalism from Columbia.
