Working for a daily paper, , was the most addictive experience of my life. I spent as much time writing as I could. For three years I worked every holiday and almost every weekend in addition to my regular shifts. I wrote about everything from covering city council meetings to dog fashion shows. I loved every minute of it and leaving it was the hardest event of my life. It took 20 years of honing my skills as a writer, raising four children and logging tens of thousands of international miles in Europe and Asia before I could return to the world of journalism. My current writing areas include the United States, western Canada, Hong Kong, Munich, Salzburg and London.
