If
you have been
doing online banking through your local bank, you might be readyfor
the next step: online bill payments.
The
difference between these two services, which sound similar...
Online
banking usually means you can see your bank balance, make payments
from your checking account, etc. Online bill payments aren't
directly connected to your bank -- these are independent services
that recieve your bills from various vendors and then you make
payments to them from one single place -- thus eliminating all
those paper bills you get.
The
services usually charge a fee, so this is not for everyone.
Also, many folks still trust the postal service more than they
do electronic systems.
