Sree's Thoughts on Care Packages
Thursday, July 28, 2002

It's the time of year that anxious parents and grandparents send their camping kids care packages. And, as usual, the Internet can help with the task. Here are three good sites to look at -- they go way beyond summer campers and work year 'round for all age groups. Why do it the old-fashioned way?

CarePackages.com: I liked the pre-packaged care packages, the customizable ones and the ones with unusual themes (for couch potatoes, movie buffs, and senior citizens).

CampPacs.com: This is a three-year-old site run by a mom who's been in the business for 19 years in North Carolina. Ann Hollingsworth, who has two young daughters, has a simple, easy to use site, with a lot of fun products.

eSWAK.com: This site is of Sealed With A Kiss, which has been doing care packages for 19 years. Watch for the care packages for college students coming in the fall.

Site of the Week

CoolGrandma.com
http://www.coolgrandma.com

This is a very cool and useful site and not just for grandmas. This site gives you plenty of info about computers, e-mail, using technology and is a great way to keep up with the fast changing world. It's written in a simple, easy to understand way that doesn't insult the intelligence. I recommend this site highly.
