Here
we are... it's July 4th and you still haven't done all
you'd planned to do for today. You know the Internet can help,
but you just aren't sure how, exactly. I was in this position
a couple of years ago and spent some time hunting down some
good sites. I have revisited my list and removed some and
added others.
Here
are some sites to help you out this weekend.
BHG.com's
Fabulous Fourth: This is the best place to start your
July Fourth Web travels. It's from the publishers of Better
Homes and Gardens magazine and offers tips and ideas on all
sorts of wonderful holiday stuff. The useful and fun resources
include recipes, a beverage calculator, how to be a super
barbequer, activities for kids, even information on how to
throw your own parade.
NYCvisit.com:
This is the site of the New York City Convention and Visitors
Bureau and it has plenty of tips on the various activities
around the city for th Fourth. Of course, the main highlight
is the Macy's fireworks show, and you can get the scoop on
where best views are, and even learn some trivia your friends
don't know. It's sure to help you impress the others watching
the show with you.
Kate.net's
Happy Fourth of July: This is a fun site for you to share
with your kids. You can download electronic screen savers,
experience a virtual fireworks show and learn about the history
of the flag, the holiday itself and much more.
