Sree's Thoughts on Intel One Unwired Day
Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003

You have seen the ads for wireless laptops, which allow you to be online, away from your Internet connection. The main way this works, using Wi-Fi connections, has been nothing short of revolutionary. These are basically small areas in which you can get online with a laptop, the way a cordless phone connects to a base station within a home. Next week, at 6:45 a.m. on ABC-7, I will discuss ways to setup Wi-Fi at home.

But for today, I wanted to tell you about the Intel One Unwired Day on Thursday, which will make free thousands of Wi-Fi connections around the country that are usually fee-based. This is a great opportunity to try out the technology for yourself, if you have a laptop that can go wireless (either with built-in technology) or with a wireless card.

To find a full list of where you go, visit Inter.com/unwire.
